GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) foods are not what Indigenous people want. Period.

GMO foods are not labeled in the United States, but in sixty-four other countries around the globe they require labeling of genetically modified foods.

Are GMOs Safe To Consume?
According to the Non GMO Project the safety of GMOs is unknown. Unknown to whom? Or are they’re telling the truth about GMO’s, period? Indigenous people have a different outlook on GMO foods. Food is sacred to Indigenous people and GMO food is disrespectful to indigenous culture. It’s asinine to ask an aboriginal what makes GMO food bad. “They live” is real. Period. There is a lot of ethnocentrism when it comes to other cultures and beliefs. Just because one culture deemed GMO foods safe doesn’t mean that another culture does.
