GANGSTA BOO FEMALE MEMBER OF 3-6 MAFIA DIED OF AN ALLEGED DRUG OVERDOSE

Gangsta Boo AKA Lola Boo born Lola Mitchell was the First Lady and the only female member to members, DJ Paul & Juicy J of the rap group 3-6 (666) Mafia. In her younger days, she was known as Mc Tinkerbell. She began her rapping career at an early age and began recording as early as 17 years old. According to Wikipedia, she’s also known as the devil’s daughter. The self-proclaimed queen of Crunk is originally from Memphis, Tennessee, and was found dead in her home on January 1, 2023, at age 43. 

Gangsta Boo is credited for writing all her music, including “Tear the Club Up”, and “Who We Are”. She released her first solo album, Enquiring Minds, at 19 in 1998. On Foxy’s Brown, Chyna Doll record, Gangsta Boo & MIA, recorded their own redemption of NWA, N***** with Attitude called, Bitches with Attitude. Since then has released records with Project Pat, Krazie Bone, Eminem, Outkast, and Tinashe. 

Her hit song, Where dem dollars, reached number 15 on the Billboard charts. Her second album, Both Worlds *69, reached number 8 on the R&B/Hip Hop Charts. Gangsta Boo’s last album, her 3rd album, was released in 2003 and was titled, Enquiring Minds II. In 2015, she released a mixtape, Candy, Diamonds, and Pills, and started touring on the Run The World Tour with Killer Mike with sold-out shows. She also performed at several festivals including Coachella and Rolling Out.

In an exercise on the show, participants which are Hip Hop Celebrities, have to meet their younger selves and describe what their future holds. She reveals that her mother had a drinking problem and she began to write as a coping mechanism. She also said that within 7 years, she lost 20 people including her father, grandmother, grandfather, and DJ. She also told her younger self that it’s important to remember to not self-medicate. 

Ultimately, while production was setting up a lie detector test a baggie with a white powdery substance was found next to her jewelry on a table. Whether substance abuse was an issue or not on the show, as Gangsta Boo became agitated Dan denied knowing what it was. She said she felt uncomfortable with the accusations, and she & Emmitt ended up exiting the show. 

In May of 2022, Gangsta Boo appeared on Season 17 of We-TV Marriage Boot Camp with her Boyfriend, Emmett, who she’s been with for 7 years and met on tour. Most recently, she recorded a song with Glorilla and Latto. Her latest videos posted on her Youtube Channel showed clips of her recording in the studio. One clip, in particular, stood out where she performed for Uproxx Music. She records herself spitting rhythms about how she met a girl in Paris and took her back to the studio where they got lit, smoked weed, and ate pu**y.

Lately, on Social Media, Gangsta Boo was receiving a lot of love from fans who felt she, as well as Foxy Brown, didn’t get the recognition that they should’ve received. Many also were waiting on her new project, The Boo Print to be released.

Many celebrities including Rah Digga, Missy Misdemeanour, K. Michelle, and many more have gone to social media to express their condolences.  

The results of Gangsta Boo’s death have not been revealed. Although we know she had a battle with drugs, we’re only hoping that at the beginning of the year, her fate wasn’t lost to the battle.
